Korean & Japanese Cosmetics by Niunya 02/26/10

Korean & Japanese cosmetic brands are becoming increasingly popular but unfortunately, finding English online stores that sell these wonderful products is time consuming and quite annoying so, I’ve done that for you. But first, here are some of the Korean & Japanese cosmetic brands:

Korean: Laneige; IOPE; SulWhaSoo (herbal cosmetics); Isa Knox; Etude House; Skin79 (was the first brand to produce the famous Korean BB cream); Charmzone (organic skin care products); Skin Food (products made of natural ingredients and they have a complete range of cosmetics made entirely of food ingredients); Hanbul; Missha (products for young women); Hera; Gowoonsesang (“medical formula for beautiful and healthy skin”); Beauty Credit; The Face Shop; VOV; Hankook; Dr. Eslee (acne cosmetics); O Hui (phytoscience-based anti-wrinkle products); Hanskin; Innisfree (botanical cosmetics, most products contain essence of lavender, mint, chamomile and herbs); IPKN; Dr. Jart; BRTC (Bio Remedies Therapeutic Cosmetics).

Japanese: Pola;  Kanebo; Shiseido (renowned for their skin whitening products); Kose; SK-II (SK-II products are based on a natural, nutrient-rich liquid called Pitera, which is extracted during the yeast fermentation process); Kao; Jill Stuart; RMK; Arouge (for sensitive, dry and unstable skin); Paul & Joe; Shu Uemura; Kawaii Tokyo (brand for young women); Kiss Me; Canmake; JuJu Cosmetics; DHC; Menard; Gransenbon; Ishizawa ; Albion; SUQQU.

And since I’ve mentioned the BB Cream I’ll explain in a few words what it is for those of you that have never heard of it. The BB Cream (Blemish Balm Cream) is the first all-in-1 cosmetic product: base + concealer + natural makeup + sunblock + moisturizer + anti-acne + pore minimizing + anti-wrinkle + brightening cream. There are various brands that manufacture the BB Cream: Skin79, Ishizawa, BRTC, Dr. Jart, IPKN, Magis Lene, Missha, Skin Food, Etude House, just to name a few.

http://www.akinaiblog.com has been in our Asian Cosmetics directory since 2009 but, for some strange reason, I overlooked it in both of my “Korean & Japanese Cosmetics” articles. So, I decided to update “Korean & Japanese Cosmetics II” and added both of them.

Hi! I can’t find it anywhere… Sorry I can’t be of any help but I’ll keep an eye out for it!

Vivien August 28, 2011 Reply

I NEED HELP! I’ve been trying to look for products from Pierre Cardin brand in the Age Vital (they have Aroma relax, Aroma pure, aroma blanc and Age Vital) It is impossible for me to find any. We used to buy them at a Japanese-korean cosmetics store inside a super market and now the market closed down we have no way to look for this.
My mom has been using this forever and it works best for her skin. I’m now so disappointed that I can’t help my Mom looking for it. Please help!
If we really can’t find any, she may have to switch to sansim.
I really hope that you know about this product and where about to find them. Thank you so much for your help!

niunya August 29, 2011 Reply

Hi! Age Vital by Pierre Cardin is veeery difficult to find. Unicos Co., Ltd. is a company that distributes Age Vital worldwide and is actually the only one I could find although I searched a lot!!! They are based in Korea and you can contact them and inquire about the price and shipping terms here:

tradeKorea.com (based in Korea) and alibaba.com (based in China) are international eMarketplaces and in order to be able to contact Unicos Co., Ltd. you need to create an account. They have their own website, http://www.unicos.co.kr, but it’s in Korean and my browser has problems loading it…

You can also try at other local Asian stores. If I am able to find a store that sells Age Vital in the near future, I’ll let you know. Take care!

I’ve just remembered I didn’t check http://www.gmarket.co.kr … and they have Vital Age (Vital Age, Aroma Relax, Aroma Blanc) and a lot more Pierre Cardin cosmetics. Just type in Pierre Cardin and then click Cosmetics & Beauty Care.
Gmarket.co.kr is an eMarket based in Korea and it’s quite easy to order from them. To buy you need to create an account; the same product is sold by various sellers at different prices but not all sellers provide international shipping; the products that are available for international shipping have a red sign with Worldwide Shipping written over; in the Item Info they specify whether or not the product is available and you can also see the shipping cost listed on the Available Countries & Overseas Shipping Fee page. You can pay by credit card, PayPal and online cash transfer.

Vivien September 1, 2011

You are so helpful! I’m very appreciated. Yes I did contacted a few sources that I found, including Unico, and some guy from alibaba, but never got any respond so far ;(
I already bought my mom the JaYangSang cream and foundation from sansim, Gongjinhyang In Yang Balancer and essence from the history of whoo. These cost a bit more than Age Vital but I hope she will like them. Sometimes a more pricey product doesn’t always work well you know …. It would be great if she will permanently switch to these, because they will be much easier to find.
Once again, thanks so much! You are the best.

niunya September 1, 2011

You’re welcome! So far Gmarket seems to be the best choice, in case your mother doesn’t like the new products. If I find more stores, I’ll post them. Take care!
